Engineering Manager (Facilities)

$160,000 + incentives

Our client, an industry leading food manufacturer, is looking for an Engineering Manager (Facilities) to join their team. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the planning, managing and execution of facilities lead and supported capital projects. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the development and delivery of the Facilities CAPEX Master Plan.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality, facilities and safety standards. Capital forecasting and timely entry and close out of projects.
  • Provide the necessary tools, systems and training for the Facilities Engineers to optimize their execution effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all standard specifications and site drawings are updated when changes are made as a result of renovations, new additions or maintenance over time.
  • Assess the performance of the Facilities Engineers and takes appropriate actions in line with Company policy and Regulations.
  • Develop and monitor the process to ensure all equipment and work performed complies with all governing laws, practices, codes, and regulations .
  • Directing, coach and mentor a team of facilities engineers assigned to the projects.
  • Provides leadership by instilling safety objectives and measurements.
  • Troubleshoot and implement potential solutions as required.
  • Conducts detailed diagnostic audits, using Six Sigma processes and techniques and provides coaching and direction to the plant’s management team.

 

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager in a high speed manufacturing.
  • Experience with Process Improvement Methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen etc.)
  • BA, Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • 5+ years managing Engineers directly.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to develop a positive safety culture within the team.
  • Experience in Food Processing environments ideal.
