Production Senior Supervisor

£38k per annum

North West London

Our client, an innovative and forward-thinking food manufacturer who are known in their sector for being leaders providing some of the best bakery products in the market. They are searching for a Production Senior Supervisor due to expansion within the organisation.  


Job Role
To ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations in order to fulfil customers’ orders. Responsible of leading, developing and training the production team. 


Responsibilities 

  • To ensure that all health & safety requirements are met, including the use of PPE
  • To be responsible for own safety and that of others
  • Ensure all products produced following: Food safety, Food Quality, Personal Hygiene of all staff, Hygiene of all production and external areas
  • Participate in and deliver shift briefings
  • Understand and communicate KPIs, losses and issues in a clear manner
  • Participate in quality reviews and relay issues to the team
  • To oversee all production operations
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests
  • To creates and revise systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change
  • Handle all related activities of production as needed like hiring, training, performance review and terminations
  • Ensure inductions are carried out for all new starters
  • Ensure all staff have completed all relevant Health & Safety training
  • Carry Disciplinary investigations as needed
  • Develop and implement new training models such as: “how to do sheets”, training matrix, work instructions etc.
  • Manage labour resources and ensure that the most accurate manning is in place
  • Cover Managerial tasks in the absence of the Manager
  • Prepare individual as well as departmental training plans

 

Personal Profile

  • Supervisory experience needed & training will be given
  • People Management, communication, and delegation skills
  • Proficient Microsoft outlook, Excel
  • Flexibility on working hours
  • Able to perform manual work
  • Previous Managerial experience in similar industry
  • Able to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Ability to manage a stressful environment.
  • Experience of delivering expanding operational KPI’s
