Senior Packaging Operative

Our client based in Aylesbury are a unique business within the beverage industry and are looking to expand their fantastic team with a Senior Packaging Operative with excellent progression opportunities available to grow within the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Packaging: assisting the Packaging Lead in operating and maintaining both the bottling and canning lines, this includes:
- Alternating between the role of shift supervisor or shift support on the packaging lines to spread the load between the team and as the needs of production require.
- Follow the Packaging SOP exactly and diligently
- Follow health and safety requirements exactly, ensure cleanliness at all times.
- Understand potential risks in packaging and mitigation against these risks
- Analyse the performance of the packaging lines and suggest ways in which the efficiency of packaging can be improved.
- Work with the Packaging lead and Head of Production to make operational improvements, to update SOPs and train the team as appropriate.
- Fermentation and filtration: Support the fermentation and filtration team where required
- Warehouse: Support in the warehouse pre and post packaging runs as required

People Profile

This role is not for someone who has frequent job changes as they are looking for commitment for the future

• Have several years of experience within packaging foods and or drinks (bottle or canning of drinks would be advantageous)
• Have a mechanical hands-on approach to problem solving and identifying core issues
• Assisting in fixing equipment in packaging and fementery 
• Enjoys being part of a tight knit and friendly team
• Someone who is flexible to business demands

Salary and Working Hours

£30,000 - £32,000 DOE

08:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday
